The first trailer for “Doctor Strange” is here!

doctorstrangeheader1With all eyes turning towards the soon to be released Captain America: Civil War, Marvel Studios released the trailer for another film that they hope will do more than capture the imaginations of their fans, and that film is Doctor Strange.

The trailer premiered on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live (the late night show for all things Marvel, Star Wars, and anything connected to the Disney company) and we have it here as well!

This highly anticipated film is directed by Scott Derrickson (The Exorcism of Emily RoseDeliver Us From Evil) and the script was written by Jon Spaihts (Prometheus, Passengers) and C. Robert Cargill (Sinister). It stars Benedict Cumberbatch in the title role, Chiwetel Jiofor (12 years a Slave) as Baron Mordo, Tilda Swinton (Only Lovers Left Alive), as well as Rachel McAdams, Michael Stuhlbarg, Scott Adkins, Amy Landecker, and Mads Mikkelsen.

The film is about a highly acclaimed, but equally arrogant, neurosurgeon who discovers that power of magic and alternate dimensions after a near-fatal car accident that destroyed his medical career.

Doctor Strange opens in theaters on Friday, November 4, 2016, and Captain America: Civil War will open in theaters in just a few weeks on May 6.

What did you think of the trailer? Was the imagery as wild as you had hoped, or do you think that Marvel is holding back “the good stuff” for when the movie is released? What are your thoughts about Cumberbatch as Stephen Strange? How do you feel about Tilda Swinton as the Ancient One?
