We here at TG2 Studios pride ourselves on being accurate with reporting our stories. However, from time to time, in our haste to get a story out (after all, both of us gay geeks work full time jobs) we let something go without fully investigating it. Such was the case of a story about the latest trailer for the first standalone Star Wars film, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which had just been shown at the Star Wars Celebration Europe. Sadly a fan-constructed trailer had been shared on the Internet and we fell for it. Hook. Line. Sinker.
But this is not the case now!!!
It was announced that the second trailer for Rogue One was to be shown during the Olympics coverage from Rio. This caused fans to just froth at the mouth while sitting through hours and hours of Olympics coverage (a rather clever, but annoying marketing gimmick) for them to finally see it. Was it worth it? HELL YES IT WAS. (Heavy breathing.)
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story opens December 16, 2016.
So what do you think of this trailer? Does Rogue One look more, or less, of what we’ve come to expect of a movie from the Star Wars universe? What were some of the elements from the trailer that you liked? What were some parts that you didn’t like?
