With the season 5 premiere of Arrow looming closer every day, the CW has released an extended promo for the upcoming year, featuring some bits of all-new footage we can all look forward to. Check it out in the player below. In addition, the official synopsis for the episode has been released for the episode, titled “Legacy,” and reads as follows:
“After Laurel’s death and the departures of both Diggle and Thea from Team Arrow, Oliver takes to the streets solo to protect Star City’s citizens as the Green Arrow. With Felicity guiding him from the bunker, Oliver is forced to deal with a city that has become overrun with both criminals and a slew of new (and painfully inexperienced) vigilantes. Watching Oliver try to balance his jobs as both the mayor and also the protector of Star City, Felicity suggests he form a new team, but Oliver resists. However, when a deadly new criminal, Tobias Church (guest star Chad L. Coleman), enters the picture, Oliver realizes the best thing for the city might be a new team of superheroes. Meanwhile, the flashbacks take us to Russia where Oliver faces off against the Bratva.”
Arrow stars Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen, David Ramsey as John Diggle, Willa Holland as Thea Queen, Emily Bett Rickards as Felicity Smoak, John Barrowman as Malcom Merlyn, with Paul Blackthorne as Detective Lance. The series is executive produced by Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, Andrew Kreisberg and Sarah Schechter.
The guest stars for Arrow Season 5 continues to grow and currently includes Rick Gonzalez (Rush, Mr. Robot) as Wild Dog, Josh Segarra as Vigilante, Madison McLaughli as Evelyn Sharp, The Walking Dead star Chad L. Coleman in the villain role of Tobias Church, Joe Dinicol as mystical vigilante Ragman, and Marvel’s Jessica Jones star Wil Traval as Human Target.
Arrow returns on October 5th on The CW.
